Sky Watch Friday!!

Time to share our skies again!! Welcome to Sky Watch!! We’ve had quite a variety of skies lately here in the northwest – personally, I’m happy to see some clouds the past few days!! We’ve had a lot of weather lately that has been a lot more like West Texas than I ever want to remember!!! But today there are fluffy clouds, a cool breeze and I am SMILING!!! We have had a variety and I’m sharing a few with you today! Hope your summer is going well!! Enjoy!

Be glad of life because it gives you the chance to love, to work, to play, and to look up at the stars. ~Henry Van Dyke

Everything was so dry so I am happy it finally clouded over a bit and rained yesterday in my neck of the woods. Portland must also get its fair share of rain normally. My daughter was there last weekend and took a picture of a painted umbrella on a crosswalk that I posted. I think these are great!

You certainly have some show-stopper skies in the PNW! Ours seem tame in comparison.

Glorious burst of colour in the first photo. And lovely play of light in the next two sky scenes.

Nice images and thoughts. Too often we fail to look up at the sky and see what our Creator has painted for us to enjoy.

That's a nice set of sky shots again, Sylvia, specially the first one is awesome. We're having a strange summer too in the Netherlands. Last week was very cool, this week was very warm again.
Anyway, enjoy your weekend!

Yes it has been lovely to have it a bit cooler! For a while there I thought we were spending summer in Florida!! Your skies as always are fantastic.

What Can I Say?

What Can I Say?
I'm interested in almost everything. Use to like to travel, but it's too expensive now. I take Tai Chi classes, swim, volunteer in a Jump-start program for pre-schoolers. I'm an avid reader and like nearly everyone these days I follow politics avidly. I'm a former teacher and Special Projects Coordinator for a Telecommunications company, Assistant to the President of a Japanese silicon wafer manufacturing company. Am now enjoying retirement -- most of the time. I have two daughters, one son-in-law and two sons scattered all over the country. No grandchildren.
